In the President Obama's State of The Union address he stated:"...if you're an American manufacturer, you should get a bigger tax cut. If you're a high-tech manufacturer, we should double the tax deduction you get for making products here." even though I agree with removing tax breaks for companies that outsource, is giving tax breaks for companies that don't/ American companies the right thing to do? What is your opinion on these tax cuts?

I’m sorry this took so long for me to answer. Suffice it to say much of the rhetoric around tax-based incentivization in the U.S. is misleading, if not wholly mythic, but it may be that these sorts of breaks would attract some manufacturing jobs back to the U.S. (and further line the pockets of the well-do-do in the process). Of course, the option that will never be discussed is nationalizing any of the major manufacturing industries and ensuring public accountability for domestic job creation (or lack thereof) that way. Perhaps most importantly though, this is exactly what President Obama promised four years ago when he was campaigning. Should he be reelected, are we likely to see these tax breaks or penalties implemented? Doubtful.
